The Different Stages of the Cannabis Plant’s Growth

Cannabis plants typically go through four different stages of growth: germination, vegetative, flowering, and harvest.

Once the buds have reached maturity, it’s time for harvest! This is typically done by cutting down the entire plant and then drying and curing the buds.
The Best Time to Plant Your Cannabis Seeds
It is best to plant your cannabis seeds outdoors between late-May and early-June. This allows the plants enough time to mature and flower before the weather starts getting too cold. Keep in mind, however, that cannabis is a tropical plant and does not like temperatures below 60 degrees Fahrenheit.
If you live in an area with a long growing season (such as California), you can plant your seeds a little bit later, in mid-June. However, if you live in an area with a shorter growing season (such as New England), you will need to plant your seeds earlier, in late May.
Once you have planted your seeds, make sure to keep an eye on the weather forecast and be prepared to bring your plants indoors if a cold snap is expected.
