This step-by-step guide will show you how to make cannabis-infused gummies using three simple ingredients. You’ll never want to eat store-bought gummies again!

Decarboxylate your cannabis
The process of decarboxylation is key to making weed gummies because it activates the THC in cannabis. If you don’t decarboxylate your cannabis, your gummies will not get you high. You can decarboxylate your cannabis by baking it in an oven at 240 degrees Fahrenheit for about 25 minutes.
Preheat oven to 245 degrees F
Preheat oven to 245 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread your cannabis evenly across the surface. Bake for 110 minutes. Allow to cool completely before mixing into your chosen recipe.
Spread cannabis evenly on a baking sheet
Cannabis needs to be heated in order to convert THCA into THC, this process is called decarboxylation. The easiest way to do this is to spread your cannabis evenly on a baking sheet and bake it in the oven at 245°F for about 40 minutes. This will ensure that your weed is nicely decarboxylated and ready to be used in any recipe!
Bake for 30-40 minutes
The key to making weed gummies is in the process of decarboxylation, or “decarbing” your cannabis. Decarbing converts THCA in cannabis into THC, which is the cannabinoid that gets you high. Without decarbing, your gummies won’t pack much of a punch.
To decarb your weed, preheat your oven to 245 degrees Fahrenheit. Spread your cannabis on a baking sheet and bake for 30-40 minutes. Once finished, let the cannabis cool and then grind it into a fine powder using a coffee grinder or food processor.
Make the gummy mixture
Start by mixing the cannabis oil or tincture with the melted gelatin in a bowl. If your recipe calls for sweetener, add it now. Stir the mixture until it is completely combined and the gelatin is fully dissolved. Next, add food coloring if desired.
In a saucepan, mix together 1 cup of juice, 3 tablespoons of gelatin, and ¼ cup of honey
In a saucepan, mix together 1 cup of juice, 3 tablespoons of gelatin, and ¼ cup of honey. Heat the mixture on low until it has thickened and the gelatin has dissolved. Add 1 teaspoon of cannabis tincture and mix well. Remove from heat and pour into a silicone mold. Place the mold in the fridge for 30 minutes to set. Once the gummies have set, remove from the mold and enjoy!
Heat mixture on low, stirring frequently
Start by heating the mixture on low and stirring frequently. You don’t want the heat to be too high, or it will cook off some of the THC.
As the mixture heats, the sugar will dissolve and the liquid will become clear.
Once the sugar has dissolved, turn off the heat and add in your infused oil. Stir until combined.

Add decarboxylated cannabis to the gummy mixture
Decarboxylation is a critical step when making cannabis infused gummies because it activates the THC in the plant. If you don’t decarboxylate your cannabis, your gummies will not get you high. You can decarboxylate your cannabis by baking it in the oven at 240 degrees Fahrenheit for about 25 minutes.
Use a strainer or cheesecloth to remove any plant matter
Once your gummy mixture is fully mixed, it’s time to strain out the plant matter. You can either use a cheesecloth or a strainer for this step. If you’re using a cheesecloth, fold it over a few times to create multiple layers. This will help to filter out any small pieces of plant matter. Place the cheesecloth over a bowl and pour the gummy mixture into the cheesecloth. Use a rubber spatula to help push the mixture through the cheesecloth. Once all of the liquid has strain through, discard the cheesecloth and plant matter.
If you’re using a strainer, place it over a bowl and pour the gummy mixture into the strainer. Use a rubber spatula to help push the mixture through the strainer. Once all of the liquid has strain through, discard any plant matter that is left in the strainer.
Add tincture or oil if using
If you are using tincture or oil, add this now as well. If you are using cannabutter or Hash Oil, wait to add this until the end. Gently stir until everything is well mixed. If your mixture looks separated, that’s okay, it will come back together when you cook it.
Pour the mixture into the silicone mold, being careful not to overfill each cavity. Gently tap the mold on the counter a few times to release any air bubbles and to help the mixture settle evenly into each cavity.
Pour mixture into molds
In a medium saucepan, heat ⅔ cup of water and 1 cup of sugar over medium heat until the sugar has dissolved. Add ¼ cup of light corn syrup and stir until combined. If you want to add color or flavor to your gummies, now is the time to do it.
Use silicone molds for easy removal
One of the great things about using silicone molds is that the gummies will pop right out when they’re ready. You can find silicone molds in all sorts of shapes and sizes online, or at your local craft store. If you can’t find silicone molds, you can use a regular ice cube tray lined with parchment paper.
Pour the mixture into the molds, being careful not to overfill them. Tap the mold on the counter a few times to release any air bubbles. Place the molds in the freezer for about 30 minutes, or until the gummies are firm.
Once they’re firm, pop them out of the mold and enjoy! Store leftover gummies in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks.
Place molds in the fridge for 30-60 minutes
After you have added your mixture to the molds, place them in the fridge for 30-60 minutes. This will allow the gummies to set and solidify. After they have set, you can remove them from the molds and enjoy!
Enjoy your cannabis gummies!
Cannabis gummies are a delicious and easy way to enjoy the benefits of cannabis, whether you’re looking for a therapeutic or recreational experience. You can infuse your own gummies at home using a variety of methods, and we’ve outlined a few of our favorites below.
To make cannabis gummies, you will need:
-1/2 cup of fresh squeezed juice (we like orange or grapefruit)
-1/4 cup of gelatin
-1/4 cup of water
-1/2 cup of granulated sugar
-1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
-A pinch of salt
-Cannabis tincture or oil (we recommend starting with 1 teaspoon and increasing as desired)
-Gummy bear molds (or any other shape you prefer!)
Directions:
1. In a small saucepan, heat the juice over low heat until it is just warm to the touch.
2. In a separate bowl, mix together the gelatin and water and let it sit for a minute to bloom.
3. Add the bloomed gelatin to the saucepan with the juice and stir until it is completely dissolved.
4. Stir in the sugar, vanilla extract, and salt until they are completely dissolved.
5. Stir in the cannabis tincture or oil until it is completely dissolved.
6. Pour the mixture into your gummy bear molds (or any other shape you prefer) and let them set in the fridge for at least an hour. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to two weeks.
