How to Make Cannabis Wax at Home

Gather your materials.

Before you start, make sure you have everything you need:
-Cannabis trim or bud
-An ounce or less is fine to start
-A deep bowl or pot
-Something to stir with
-Cheesecloth
-A coffee filter or tea strainer
-A measuring cup
-An oven-safe dish
-A butane torch (optional)

You will need a cannabis concentrate, a non-stick silicone container, a hair straightener, and parchment paper.

Before you get started, you will need to gather a few supplies. You will need:

Fill the Pot with Water and Place it on the Stove

Fill the pot with enough water so that it comes up about halfway up the side of the glass jar. Place the pot on the stove and turn it up to medium heat. You don’t want to boilthe water, but you do want it to be hot enough that it will help vaporizethe cannabis concentrate.

Assemble Your Dab Rig

While your water is heating up, assemble your dab rig. If you don’t have a dab rig, you can use a regular bong by substituting a nail forthe bowl piece. If you don’t have a nail, you can use a metal socket froma socket set — just make sure that it is clean! If you are using a regular bong, place your cannabis in the bowl piece and preheat it with adab torch before proceeding to Step 7. Metal sockets and nails must alsobe heated before proceeding to Step 7.

Place the container on the hair straightener and heat until the concentrate melts.

As soon as the concentrate melts, begin stirring it with the other utensil. You want to keep stirring until all of the liquid has evaporated and only the wax remains. This could take a few minutes.
