A look at the different types of drugs that are derived from the cannabis plant.

The Different Types of Cannabis
There are three main types of cannabis- indica, sativa, and hybrid. Indica plants are shorter and bushier and have wider leaves. They grow faster and have a higher yield than sativas. Sativas are taller and have thinner leaves. They take longer to grow and have a lower yield than indicas. Hybrids are a mix of both sativas and indicas.
Indica
Indica is one of the three main types of cannabis plants. These plants are native to the Indian subcontinent and typically grow to be shorter and wider than their sativa counterparts. The leaves of indica plants are also broader, and the plant overall has a thicker stem.
The effects of indica are typically more relaxed, making it a good choice for those looking to relieve stress or ease into sleep. Indica is also effective in treating pain and can be helpful for those with conditions like fibromyalgia or arthritis.
Sativa
Sativa is a type of cannabis plant that is mostly grown for industrial and commercial purposes. The main difference between sativa and indica plants is their size and shape – sativa plants are taller and thinner, while indica plants are shorter and bushier.
The leaves of sativa plants are also narrower than those of indica plants. Sativa plants have higher levels of THC (tetrahydrocannabinol), the chemical compound that gives cannabis its psychoactive properties. For this reason, sativa is often used to make marijuana (cannabis that contains high levels of THC).
Marijuana grown from sativa plants tends to have a “head high” effect, which means it makes users feel energetic, euphoric, and creative. It is also known for its medical benefits, as it can be used to relieve pain, nausea, and anxiety.
Hybrid
A hybrid is a type of cannabis that is created by crossbreeding indica and sativa strains. This results in a plant that has characteristics from both parent strains, such as a plant that is shorter like an indica but has the cerebral high of a sativa.
The Different Forms of Cannabis
When people think of cannabis, they usually think of marijuana. However, marijuana is just one form of cannabis. There are actually three different types of cannabis: marijuana, hashish, and hash oil. All three of these forms of cannabis come from the Cannabis sativa plant, but they each contain different levels of THC.
Flower
Cannabis flowers, also known as buds, are the most common form of the drug. They are typically greenish-brown and are covered in tiny, tangled hairs called trichomes. The flowers contain the highest concentration of THC and other cannabinoids. They can be smoked in a joint or pipe, or smoked using a bong. Vaporizing or “vaping” cannabis flowers is also becoming increasingly popular.
Oil
Cannabis oil is a thick, sticky, resinous substance made up of cannabinoids, such as THC and CBD, that is extracted from the cannabis plant (Cannabis sativa or Cannabis indica). Cannabis oil is a cannabis based product obtained by separating the resins from cannabis flowers using a solvent extraction process. Cannabis oil can also be known as marijuana oil, Rick Simpson Oil (RSO), full extract cannbais oil (FECO), hash oil, dabs, shatter, or wax.
Cannabis oils are used for a wide variety of applications including:
-pain management
-anxiety relief
-appetite stimulation
-glaucoma treatment
-and much more!
Edibles
Edibles are foods and drinks that have been infused with cannabis. Cannabis-infused edibles typically come in the form of brownies, cookies, candy, or drinks.
The effects of edibles can be very different from smoking or vaping cannabis. Edibles take longer to kick in—usually around 30 to 60 minutes. That’s because when you eat or drink cannabis, it has to be processed by your liver before it gets into your bloodstream.
The peak effects of an edible can last for several hours, which is much longer than the effects of smoking or vaping.
It’s important to remember that everyone reacts differently to edibles. If you’re new to them, start with a low dose (5 mg THC or less) and wait at least 2 hours before taking more.
The Different Uses of Cannabis
Cannabis, also known as marijuana, is a plant that has been used for centuries for its medicinal properties. The different uses of cannabis include pain relief, treatment of anxiety and depression, and nausea relief. The active ingredient in cannabis is THC, which is responsible for the plant’s psychoactive effects.
Recreational
Cannabis, also known as marijuana, is a plant from Central Asia that is grown in many parts of the world today. The leaves, stems, and seeds of the plant can all be used for their strong fibers, oils, and seeds. But it is the leaves and flowering tops that are most often used for their psychoactive and medicinal properties.
Cannabis has been used for centuries for its fiber, seeds, oil, and medicinal properties. It was even legal in the United States until 1937. The recreational use of cannabis did not become widespread until the 1960s. Today, it is estimated that there are over 25 million regular users of cannabis in the United States alone.
The use of cannabis for medicinal purposes is controversial. Some people argue that it should be legal for people who are suffering from debilitating diseases such as cancer or AIDS. Others argue that cannabis has not been proven to be effective in treating these diseases and that it should only be used for research purposes.
Cannabis is classified as a Schedule I drug in the United States, which means that it has a high potential for abuse and no accepted medical use.
Medicinal
Cannabis, also known as marijuana, is a plant grown for its medicinal and recreational purposes. It can be used to treat a wide variety of conditions, including pain, anxiety, and nausea. Cannabis is a Schedule I drug in the United States, which means it has a high potential for abuse and is not approved for medical use.
Industrial
Cannabis has been used for centuries for a variety of purposes. The most common uses are for medicinal or recreational purposes, but the plant can also be used for industrial purposes.
Industrial cannabis is typically grown for its fiber and seed. The plant’s fibers can be used to make rope, fabric, paper, and other materials. The seeds can be used for birdseed, animal feed, or oil.
Cannabis has a long history of being used as a source of fiber. Hemp fibers were found in pottery dating back to 8,000 BCE, and hemp rope has been found in tombs dating back to 2,800 BCE. In more recent history, cannabis was used to make sails and ropes for ships. It was also used to make clothing and paper.
The use of cannabis as an industrial product began to decline in the 20th century with the advent of synthetic fibers like nylon and polyester. However, interest in hemp as an industrial product has been revitalized in recent years as a more environmentally friendly alternative to synthetic fibers.
